Contemporary History of International Relations
This course is the study of the historical foundations of the present day international relations that starts from the post-World War I period and ends by analyzing the new world order that was established after the Cold War. The course aims to enable students to gain a deeper perspective on how the contemporary international relations evolved as the way it did by looking back at the major critical junctures that changed the political map of the world and at the same time contributed to the emergence of many contemporary international relations issues.

Contemporary System of International Relations
One of the main objectives of this course is to give students a holistic view of the system of international relations in the light of the conceptual and theoretical basis of international relations, in particular, using concepts developed by various theories and paradigms, such as idealism, institutional idealism, realism, systemic realism, structuralism, constructivism, “world-system theory” and others. Such concepts as “system”, “system in international relations”, “hegemonic system”, “Pax Britannica”, “Pax Americana”, “pole”, “power”, “bipolar world” will be studied , “Single-polar world”, “multi-polar world” and others.
