ECO 109 Principles of Economics / Aigerim Azimbekova 2021-2022
This course is an introductory course in economics dealing with interdependencies in the world. It is designed to make
students acquainted with the basic tools of economic analysis including opportunity cost, supply and demand, market
equilibrium, and elasticity, types of markets, specialization, trade, and comparative advantage. It stresses international
economic linkages by illustrating that most decisions taken in a country impact not only the country and its people, but
also other countries and their people.
